Precision Pipework Ltd were brought onboard by a major civil engineering firm, to design three dry risers to join the two Dartford road tunnels below the River Thames, as part of the £75m civils framework for major improvement works.

Work included drilling a number of 200mm holes through the side walls of the tunnels to enable new all stainless pipework to be installed.

All work was carried out at night with tunnels being shut down to enable safe working.
